3 - 5 Years
The pre-school room at Honeybear Day Nursery - Altrincham caters for 8 children and follows the Early Learning Goals for the Foundation Stage. The 6 areas of the curriculum are:
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Communication, language and literacy
- Mathematical development
- Knowledge and understanding of the world
- Physical development
- Creative development
Free choice play takes part in the morning and afternoon and at pre-school time after lunch there is an adult directed activity which is assessed daily under the Early learning goals.
Children are encouraged to develop their self-confidence, self-esteem, independence skills and new skills all through play.
